A well-designed playground can serve as a place for school community activities and gatherings. It can be a destination that brings children and families together, increases social engagement and creates a sense of belonging. Sometimes most importantly, the school playground is the place where kids take a break from the work they do inside the classroom. The Global Motion shown in this picture is a great timeout from the stresses of class! Spinning is the most potent form of sensory input that the brain takes in and processes and is a great way to relieve classroom pressures. The two levels of seating allow rotation in a seated position or for a little more excitement, kids can climb the nets from the inside or outside while spinning. Important recess experiences like cooperative play and turn-taking, develop social emotional learning
