Cranston Community Action Program (CCAP)

Preschool is usually the first experience that young children have with using a playground daily.  This valuable outdoor time gives preschoolers the space and freedom they need to move around safely.   Having an inspiring outdoor space is essential.

The playground here shows a variety of sensory-rich experiences for a small space.  The SmartPlay Motion structure creates experiences for crawling, balancing, climbing, sliding, musical play, puzzle play and a race track for Matchbox cars.  A small, but essential shade structure and interesting panels that inspire learning from cause and effect activities give ground-level opportunities for those who prefer more visual play or a calm activity.  Trike bikes use the pattern on the Poured-in-Place rubber to give kids a safe avenue to explore and build gross motor skills.
