Beacon Park

The Town of Newington requires housing developers to set aside neighborhood park property in the middle of each housing development. Beacon Park is one of nine neighbor – hood parks in Newington and features this Landscape Structures playground with DuMor game tables. The town’s Parks and Recreation professionals are working with the Newington Parks and Recreation Board, the Town Council, and the Town Manager to design, fund, and build one new handicap accessible playground each year, in each neighborhood. Not only does the playground equipment support children of all abilities, but the Poured-in-Place Rubber Surfacing by Surface America is a game-changer for creating a truly accessible playground thus advocating for a strong ADA Compliant Parks System.
