Specializing in Tree Grates, Tree Guards, Bollards and Trench Grates, Ironsmith manufactures the best in urban design.  With a variety of options and materials, Ironsmith has been manufacturing streetscape products since 1984.    Whether you need a custom modification to a standard grate for that one special tree or a completely original design for an extensive project, Ironsmith can turn your ideas into reality.  Ironsmith’s wide range of capabilities in producing both cast and fabricated metal products affords you a resource for custom design and fabrication of a broad range of possible site specific artifacts.    All Ironsmith’s cast products are available in recycled cast gray iron, aluminum, or bronze.  Special alloys of aluminum and bronze are available by special request.  There are also many types of finishes available such as natural unfinished gray, primed and painted, powder coated, and galvanized.  All Ironsmith’s cast products are made from 100% recycled materials and are 100% recyclable.    All tree and trench grates are designed to take heavy pedestrian loads without bowing, flexing or moving.  No grates have openings larger than 1/2″, preventing heels, wheels, canes and crutch tips, etc. from getting caught.
